National Women’s Health Week began yesterday and continues until May 15, 2010. This week, we should “recommit to breaking existing barriers and improving the health of American women for generations to come,” says a proclamation by President Barack Obama.

The federal government also offers several online resources for promoting the goals of women’s health week, including the Whitehouse Council on Women and Girls, womenshealth.gov, and girlshealth.gov.
