Injectable Treatments at Will Surgical Arts

Botox

Wrinkles form as we repeatedly use the same muscles to express facial emotion. When injected, Botox blocks muscular nerve signals causing decreased muscle movement. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. Botox smooths lines and wrinkles:

Juvederm

As a dermal filler, Juvederm provides you with natural-looking results. Juvederm is an injectable gel that takes advantage of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance that supports skin structure. Juvederm cushions the skin, smoothing and softening lines, creases, and wrinkles. Juvederm can be injected around the mouth—minimizing the appearance of:

Voluma

How does a filler differ from traditional injectable treatments? Whereas a traditional injectable (like Botox) treats the wrinkle itself, a filler (like Juvederm) blends the appearance of wrinkles by restoring moisture and plumpness to the skin.

Injectable treatments offer a quick and effective way to treat a tired and aging complexion. An in-and-out visit, treatments typically last only fifteen minutes. As a non-invasive procedure, there is no downtime associated with injectables. An added bonus: results can be seen long beyond the traditional wedding season as injectables last anywhere from six months to one year.

It is important to schedule your treatment one to two weeks ahead of any major event. Although rare, there is a chance of slight bruising and redness around the injection site. Giving yourself a week also allows for the injection to set and if needed, any touch-ups to be administered.
