Part I — The Many Forms of Facial Rejuvenation: Exploring Facelifts

From fine lines and wrinkles to loose and crepe-like skin, it is inevitable that over time, our facial appearance changes. As even the slightest facial aging can add years to an individual’s appearance—it comes as no surprise that facial rejuvenation continues to be a patient favorite at Will Surgical Arts. Hoping to revitalize their look, men and women seek out Dr. Will’s expertise.

Along with the traditional facelift, Dr. Will can perform a number of variations that can restore a youthful appearance. Here, we explore the ever-popular full facelift and its lesser-known counterpart, the mini facelift.

Facelift

Offering all over facial rejuvenation, traditional facelift surgery addresses sagging skin around the face and neck. Unbeknownst to many, as we age, along with our skin, our facial muscles weaken over time. With access to your underlying facial structure, Dr. Will is not only able to trim away excess and sagging skin, but also, is able to tighten these loose and sagging muscles.

“I love what I can do in just a couple [of] hours to transform a patient’s facial appearance,” says Dr. Will. Working to restore a youthful shape and contour to one’s face, jawline, and neckline, a facelift is truly transformative. With long lasting results, facelift surgery is one of the most effective solutions to facial aging.

Mini Facelift

Not yet in need of a full facelift, many men and women find a mini facelift proficient. Addressing the lower third of the face, a mini facelift is ideal for patients needing limited changes to a specific area on the face such as their jowls. Placing small incisions tucked cleverly into your hairline, Dr. Will carefully removes excess skin before expertly tightening the remaining skin. Although the final look is less dramatic than a full facelift, a mini facelift often provides enough of a lift for those with signs of early aging. Having been dubbed the “weekend facelift”, our patients love the minimal downtime and recovery.
